There is no bigger fan of Southwest Florida than John Van Voorhis. After obtaining his graduate degree from the University of Northern Iowa, John & his wife Peggy, moved to Southwest Florida in the late 60's.  John was an educator & coach before working in sales in the gladiola flower industry that flourished in Lee County. The blend of teaching & his love of the land motivated him to become a REALTOR. John began investing on the islands in the late 70's & has worked full time as a realtor since 2001. He is a member of the National, State, Ft. Myers & Sanibel-Captiva Boards of Realtors. If you're searching for a dream property, or looking to professionally market your Real Estate, John is the guy! He also holds the prestigious (SCIS) designation as a Sanibel and Captiva Island Specialist. John enjoys golfing, hiking, biking, boating, fishing and spending time with his children, Amy and Boyd. He has also spent considerable time volunteering with youth sports--primarily baseball and basketball and is one of the founding members of the Southwest Florida Eagles traveling baseball program.
